Maybe it happened. Maybe it didn't. You decide.

You’re name is Becca Shim (version 2.1). It is the year 2109. You are gathered around the NeoHeat 5000® with your humanoid grandchildren registering satisfaction on your emoti-meter. A series of blips and beeps communicates to your alloy-offspring that you are preparing to download archived data to their mainframes.

With programmed reluctance, your meta-descendents assume kneeling status and prepare to receive your personal history, data they consider obsolete. While your ancient hardware is incompatible with many of the newer technologies, you are still able to process and make use of some of the more universal applications. Fortunately for you, after growing weary of your constant file-sharing, your A.I.-spawn upgraded your system with Adobe PastDoctor which allows you to re-configure archived historical data to give it greater utility and make it more interesting.

You open the application and pull up the year 2009. Realizing that your story will need some PastDoctor-ing along the way, you begin download:

Kids, the year 2009 was a year of re-invention. It started off:

a) pretty much like any other year. (page 2)
b) with a career change. (page 6)
c) with a change in perspective. (page 8)
